Coca Cola Sign in Seton Hill
Trinacria: A Baltimore Classic

This ghost sign currently sits on the side of Trinacria, an Italian deli and gourmet grocery store. Trinacria was originally founded in 1908 and is now operated by third generation family member Vince Fava. It is a Baltimore classic, serving customers in the same location for over 115 years. Seton Hill, the neighborhood in that surrounds Trinacria, was once a heavily Italian neighborhood, and this store still stands as a reminder of that time. As you can see, this ghost sign is extremely faded, close to becoming completely invisible. Rehabilitation work along the lines of what was done to the Vote Against Prohibition sign could bring this sign back to life.
Coca Cola Advertising

The first Coca-Cola wall mural in American was painted on the side of a drug store in Cartersville, GA in 1894. A Coca-Cola syrup salesman saw the potential of the exterior wall – its length and adjacency to the busy bus depot made it the ideal location for an advertisement. The concept caught on and as many as 16,000 wall murals have been painted by the Coca-Cola Company and its local bottlers.
