Baltimore’s historic Hebrew Orphan Asylum and the Lutheran Hospital site, owned by Coppin State University since 2003, represents a significant opportunity for positive transformation and community development at the center of Greater Rosemont. Join the Coppin Heights Community Development Corporation and Baltimore Heritage for presentations and discussion on the reuse and revitalization of the 1876 historic Asylum. CSU is committed to reusing the historic building for academic and community use to complement the expansion of CSU’s Health Programs at the Lutheran site. To explore these options, the Coppin Heights CDC is currently preparing a feasibility study on the development of the site.
