The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is hosting a free talk and lecture as part of Doors Open Baltimore this year. Kelly Conway, noted Curator of American Glass at the Corning Museum of Glass (Corning, NY), will give a presentation focusing on the Tiffany mosaic of The Last Supper at First Unitarian. Commissioned by the Church, the mosaic was considered a major work of art when it was created, displayed at the Tiffany Studios in New York before its installation at First Unitarian in 1897. Currently, the work is featured through a photographic installation at the major exhibition of Tiffany mosaic glass mounted jointly by the Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG) and the Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass (through January 7, 2018). A reception will follow the talk. The event is free and no registration is required.
