Herring Run Park Archeology Weekend: Saturday Open House
May 16, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pmFree
Come out to Herring Run Park to celebrate the history of northeast Baltimore history and get involved with the Herring Run Park Public Archeology Project. On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, Baltimore Heritage, the Northeast Baltimore History Roundtable, and our partners are welcoming visitors from the neighborhood and archeology-enthusiasts from across the region to stop by and learn more about the dig in progress. Visitors can take a guided tour of the site, talk to archeologists, and take a close look at artifacts from the investigation.
Learn more about the Herring Run Park Public Archeology project and stay tuned for details on hands-on volunteer opportunities and special family-friendly programs. This program is located within the park on the north side of Herring Run. It is accessible from the Arcadia neighborhood (close to Eastwood Drive near Parkwood Drive) or a short walk east from the Hall Springs area of the park (off Harford Road).
- Free parking is available on-street in the Arcadia neighborhood or at the Hall Springs trailhead.
