Join Baltimore Heritage and the city’s historic preservation community for a celebration of the 2016 Preservation Awards on Thursday, June 16, 2016! Casual attire, plenty of food and drink, inspirational preservation and revitalization work.
5:30 p.m. – Doors Open and Tours of the Historic Building
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with drinks and heavy d’oeuvres. We will also have guided tours of the newly restored building, the former 1925 Gwynns Falls High School. Join us to see how the Green Street Academy, a five-year old charter school serving families in West Baltimore, has adapted the 90-year old historic school building to include cutting edge ideas like makerspaces and technology labs.
6:30 p.m. – Presentation of Awards
This year, Baltimore Heritage is pleased to present awards to more than a dozen historic preservation projects. From a former city garage and auto repair shop to historic theaters, a humble trolley stop to Baltimore’s Washington Monument, many hands have helped strengthen Baltimore’s historic buildings and neighborhoods this year.
