The tall, slender Georgian-style tower of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church has stood as a Baltimore landmark for 175 years. Situated in Jonestown, the church was founded in response to a swell of Irish immigrants to the area. The building, whose architect is unknown, retains the same exterior as when it first opened its doors in 1841. Its continuity of service makes it the "oldest parish church in continuous use in Baltimore."

Join us on a tour through the neoclassical building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While the exterior remains unchanged from its original design, several changes were made to the interior over the years. These changes tell the story of different eras and the changing populations who made up the congregation. Remaining as a reminder of the church's origins, the founder, Father John Baptist Gildea, is buried beneath the main altar. You will hear the story of the evolution of the Church through to the present day where St. Vincent de Paul is synonymous with charitable work.

The Church offers off-street parking in its parking lot, which is accessible from Fallsway driving north and Front Street driving south. Additional street parking is available in the area.
