We at Baltimore Heritage rely every day on all of you who volunteer with us, come on our heritage tours, and support us as members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you! Now we hope you can join us as our guests at the historic Whitehall Mill for a reception, tour, and chance to help us give away four micro-grants for preservation work in Baltimore.

With origins dating to the late 1700s as a grist mill, Whitehall has served a range of industrial uses, including making cotton duck, paper food containers, and men’s hair brushes and grooming products. Today Terra Nova Ventures has converted this large building into apartments, offices, and spaces for a restaurant and food market. Our evening here will include a reception with light fare and drinks and a tour the 150 year old building and its converted spaces. We will also ask you to help us give out four micro-grants of $250 and $500 to deserving preservation efforts in Baltimore. This is our second year of providing micro-grants and as we did last year, we’ll invite six finalists to give three-minute “pitches” of their ideas...and then we will ask you to cast ballots for the ones you would like to see get funded. We’ll learn about some great initiatives underway in Baltimore and have a little fun helping them out.

Thank you again for supporting Baltimore’s historic buildings and neighborhoods, and for supporting us in our work to keep them vibrant. We hope you can join us on October 3 at Whitehall Mill.
